Following Jesus Christ cannot be a solitary pursuit. Jesus came not only to forgive individuals but to create a new community, a new family, the body of Christ. To commit to following Jesus requires a commitment to a specific local manifestation of this community who are learning to love one another in the power of the Holy Spirit as a response to God's grace in Jesus Christ.
