Integrated Worship
At Trinity, children and adults worship together for most of our service. The presence of children in worship, with their unscripted noises and squirms, is not an inconvenience but a gift to the Church and evidence of God’s faithfulness in keeping his covenant from generation to generation. We do have rooms in the back of the sanctuary where the service can still be viewed and heard by those with children who need to be temporarily removed by their parent or guardian.
Nursery and Catechesis
Right before the sermon, children under 10 are released if parents wish for them to go to nursery (~1-4 years olds) or catechesis class (5-9 year olds). Children may be checked in and receive a name badge in the lobby before church or upon release during the service.

Yes, all adult volunteers must pass a background check before he or she may serve in the nursery or in the children’s catechesis class.

Catechesis means “oral instruction.” At Trinity, we prepare children for full participation in corporate worship and for Christian maturity by teaching them to sing Psalms, pray, and understand basic teachings through the questions and answers of a catechism and through Bible stories.
